South Lamar Backyard - Austin, TX

We installed various native and edible perennial shrubs and herbaceous flowering plants around existing trees and dry stream bed rock features. We were able to salvage some natural rock that was around the property to create garden bed borders, and we finished the planting with a thick layer of arborist wood chip mulch. The intent for this space was a nice backyard aesthetic with low-maintenance plants that will provide a modest amount of edible crops year over year.
